It’s Not Carpal Tunnel February 16, 2006

I went in for my test today. It says I don’t have carpal tunnel. Doctor just assumes its irritated tendons/nerves. Anyways, the test sucked! They hooked me up to a machine, shocked me about 15 times and then stuck needles in me and dug around on my muscle and nerves. The shocking was kinda cool but the needles hurt like hell. I’m still on light duty at work for 30 days and then I have to go back to the doctor and he will decide what to do from there.

Well, that’s about the only update I have.

After arguing with the safety guy at work (he said I had bruised tenons and if i wanted to go to the doctor it was just wasting company money. Yeah, he’s a ass) I was sent to the doctor to have my hand looked at. The doctor said that he is pretty sure it’s Carpal Tunnel. I go in for an EMG on Thursday at 12:30. I’ve been put on light duty and restricted to only 8 hours per day. Anyways, I just wanted to update everyone and I’ll update Thursday with the results from the EMG.

How’s everyone doing? We’re all doing fine, just trying to enjoy our weekend. Trish is about to run to Wal-Mart to get things for dinner, Hunter is in the living room bouncing off of the walls, and I’m in my computer room trying to get away from the madness.

I had actually planned on using this weekend to update all three of my blogs and to play some Xbox Live (My Xbox Live buddies have been wondering where I’ve been) since this was supposed to be Tammy’s weekend to have Hunter. But, her dad is coming down next weekend so we traded weekends. It’s alright though. We enjoy him being here.

My hand is still killing me. I’ve been wearing a brace thing but it doesn’t seem to be helping. It was helping Friday but it didn’t help much yesterday. Maybe when I go to the doctor Monday they’ll give me some pain med’s that will ease the pain.

Well, I better go update the other blogs and start playing some Xbox. We’ll talk to you all later.

Friday!

Boy, am I glad it’s Friday. I’ve had about as much work as I can take for one week. We had a meeting today at work. It didn’t go very well. Basically, we were told that we are behind and pretty much, it’s our fault. So, since we’re behind, we have to work overtime next week. 10 hour shift Mon – Thurs, 8 hours on Friday and Sat. Ugh…

If you knew (some of you do) how awful the management is in that plant and how poorly the plant is stocked, you’d understand why I don’t feel it’s our (assemblers) fault. We run out of parts all the time. In my department it’s almost every day that something is waiting on parts. It’s ridiculous.

I hurt my hand yesterday (Thursday) at work. I was using a screwdriver and in the middle of tightening the screws, my hand gave out. I had sharp pains all through my palm and thumb. It’s also been getting a warm tingling feeling. It has hurt so bad since then. I reported it and I’m trying to go talk to the Safety guy about it and see about going to the doctor. I tried to talk to him today but my group leader is worthless and she never called him. Oh well, I’ll wait til Monday. Out of curiosity, I looked up the symptoms online and discovered that it’s more than likely Carpal Tunnel. The symptoms of Carpal Tunnel are pains in palm, thumb, and index finger. It also said that it will tingle and it will also feel like your hands are swollen and useless and you could get to where you can’t tell the difference between hot and cold to touch. I’m pretty sure it’s Carpal Tunnel but I’m going to try and go to the doctor Monday.

But anyways, I guess I’m going to go for now. I’ll be sure and post after I visit the doctor.

I’m not going back to school. I guess it’s just not the right time for me to go. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever go back. Anyways, just wanted to update you on that. Will post again soon.

I’m Thinking About Going Back To School February 9, 2006

Hey everyone. I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I have been busy, plus nothing interesting has happened.

Well, I’m thinking about going back to school. I am thinking about going to Vatterott for Computer Hardware/Network repair. I really want to go but I’m not sure if it will work with my work schedule now. I guess it could work but it would probably kill me. Working 7am – 330pm, Monday thru Friday. And the school from (I think) 6pm-10pm four days a week. And the school is in Tulsa so I wouldn’t get home until 11pm and by the time I get to sleep it will be midnight or later and then would have to wake up at 6am. Ugh, I don’t think I can do that. So, I don’t know if I’m going to go or not yet. But I’ll post here when I figure out if I’m going for sure or not.

I went to Radio Shack Monday and I bought me a Sirius Satellite Radio for my truck. I took it over to Trish’s parents house and me and her dad installed it. It looks really cool in there. It’s nice to have such a variety of things to listen to. It has 120 channels with over 60 commercial-free stations. Click here to the channel guide.

Well, I guess I am done for now. It’s about time for American Idol to come on and I can’t miss that! =)

superbowl.gifHey everyone. We’ve got a busy day ahead of us. We have plans to eat lunch at Trish’s parents house about 1 p.m. We’re having ham, scalloped potatoes, “good” corn, and not sure what else. Yum!

Randall, Amber, and Treyton are coming over today after we get back. We’re going to have a HUGE Super Bowl party! Ok, maybe not very big but it should be fun. I’m making my secret recipe cheese dip (which can be found in the Fix-It and Forget-It Crockpot Cookbook) which is really good. Trish is going to be making some pinwheels. We’re making other things just haven’t decided what else.

Well, I guess I better end this post so I can start getting ready to leave. Talk to you all later. Have a fun Super Bowl Sunday!

Love you all

Cherokee Chopper

Cherokee Casino has unveiled it’s one of a kind, custom OCC chopper. The chopper took 188 hours, four sets of hands, and 500 pieces to assemble. The chopper is on display at Cherokee Casino in Catoosa, Oklahoma. As you can see in one of the pictures, Paul Sr, Pauly, Mikey, or Vinnie didn’t build the bike. That’s a little disappointing but oh well, it’s still an OCC. But, Paul Sr. did test drive it.By the way, you can click on the pictures a few times and will get very large. You can really get a close look at the detail if you do.

New Things Happening Around Pryor February 4, 2006

I know that some of you have not been to Pryor or Chouteau in a long time. So, I’ve came up with a few of the newest things that have hit the Pryor area. This is not a complete list, but just a list of the main things.

Pryor will soon have it’s very own recreation center. The Pryor Creek Recreation Center (PCRC) is a 51,000 sq. ft. , $6 million dollar facility brought forth by the citizens of Pryor. You can visit The PCRC’s website for more information.

Click here to open The PCRC’s Website

We now have a new Wal-Mart Supercenter. It is located south of Pryor on highway 69. It’s nice to have a supercenter close by. Sure beats driving to Claremore.

In front of the new Wal-mart we have two new businesses (so far). One is the new Mid America branch of RCB Bank. It just opened last week. Also, a Chili’s is being built right now. That will be the top place to eat in the Pryor area. It’s the only “nice” sit down restaurant we’ll have. We also have a new shopping center just north of the new Wal-Mart. It has a shoe store, Sally’s Beauty Supply, Snip n Clip, US Cellular, a medical supply store, Game Stop, and a $1 store, and a Catos.

Do you remember that Phillips 66 station that was just north of the truckstop (Circle K, EZ-Mart, Staxx, or whatever you’d like to call it)? Well, now it is called Nick’s Grill. They have gourmet hamburgers. They’re actually really good burgers and they have really good chili cheese fries. But, sad news, they closed down last week due to family illness. Not really sure how long they’re planning on being closed. But they were doing so good and getting a lot of business, I hate to see them close because they put so much work into that building and totally remodeled it.

And of course our new courthouse. I don’t really have much to say about it though. It was built about 4 foot from the old one and it’s nice. There, good enough.

Cherokee Casino now has a location at Will Rogers Downs between Pryor and Claremore. I hear that it’s a pretty small casino. I heard by law a race track like that can have a maximum of 250 slot machines, so that is all that is out there. They plan on having card games out there too.

Chouteau is growing also. We now have our own brand new Fiesta Mart with a car wash. They tore down the old truckstop in Chouteau and built the Fiesta Mart. Also, a Dollar General was built in Chouteau, located just north of Sonic. Rumor is that Chouteau is getting a Cracker Barrel and a Travel Lodge. It was published in the paper that we were, but I haven’t heard anything else about it lately.

Well, I think that about raps it up for the new things that are popping up around Pryor.

Good Night!

Our Busy Day February 4, 2006

We had a birthday party to go to yesterday. Wyatt, which is Chris’ son, had his first birthday party yesterday. They had it at Pleasant View Church. His birthday is actually on Christmas Day but since it’s already so hectic around that time, they put it off until now. Wyatt’s such a cute little kid. All of the pictures from his party are in the album to the right of the page. You should check them out. Hunter and I went to Wal-Mart to buy his gift yesterday. We bought him a one of those box shaped toys that you put the cut out shapes through the holes on the sides of it. Not sure what they’re called.

On our way home from the party last night it was slightly raining. About the time we get into Chouteau, the rain started pouring down. By the time I got to the stop light, it was hailing so hard and so much that it literately covered the road in hail in a matter of seconds. I haven’t checked my truck for any dings yet, I’m scared to! But, since the ground was so warm it melted within 5 minutes of falling. Luckily I had my video camera with me from the party so I got some of the hail on video to prove it!

You guys may know that I bought an Xbox 360 back in November. I’ve had so much fun with that thing. It’s just amazing what this thing can do. Well, I finally got brave enough to play on Xbox Live against other Xbox players. I played Call of Duty 2, which is a war game. I had an absolute blast playing on Live. I don’t know why I waited so long to try it.

Well, I guess that about raps it up for Saturday. We hope you all of a good weekend and stay safe.

Love you all.
